Intended to replace the current Falcon 200 and then the Falcon 50 of the French naval aeronautics industry, the programme for new maritime surveillance and intervention aircraft (AVSIMAR) is due to be notified in early 2020. But its content may well evolve. As announced last June by Florence Parly, and in accordance with the current Military Programming Act (LPM), the initial order will be for 7 aircraft named Albatros.
